Troo joins forces with HDM to relaunch Solar for All and help more UK businesses go solar

Energy consultancy Troo and solar provider HDM Energies are expanding their partnership with the relaunch of Solar for All, a campaign designed to help more UK businesses cut energy costs and reduce carbon, with a range of solar solutions including battery storage and EV charging.

The move follows the success of their Solar for Sport collaboration, which saw strong demand from football clubs looking for affordable and practical ways to bring energy costs under control. Now, the two companies are working together to bring that same level of support and flexibility to other sectors including hospitality, manufacturing, education, retail and agriculture.

Originally launched by HDM, Solar for All offers businesses access to solar power with a range of funding options, including Power Purchase Agreements and Capex. With Troo now onboard, businesses also benefit from personalised support throughout, from initial discussions to procurement, project management and ongoing energy guidance.

“We’ve always believed solar should be a realistic option for everyday businesses, not just those with deep pockets,” said HDM CEO, Daniel Rogers “Working with Troo on Solar for Sport showed just how valuable the right kind of support can be, so it made perfect sense to build that into Solar for All. It’s a stronger offer, and we’re excited to take it further together.”

Peter McLeod, Sales & Marketing Director at Troo added: “We’ve spoken to so many businesses who are open to solar, but don’t know what the first step looks like, or worry it’ll be too complex or expensive. With this partnership, we’re making it easier to explore what’s possible and find the right setup, whether that’s fully funded, Capex, or something in between. And the fact that battery storage and EV charging can be included too is a real bonus for a lot of organisations.”

The combined approach focuses on breaking down the typical barriers businesses face when looking at solar, whether those are financial, technical or time related. HDM provides full system design, installation and maintenance, while Troo handles procurement, planning and long-term support.

Daniel Rodgers said: “This relaunch is about being more inclusive. Whether it’s a high street shop, a hotel, or a manufacturing site, we want more businesses to feel that solar is within reach.”

Peter McLeod added: “This isn’t about pushing one solution, it’s about giving businesses real choices, with support they can trust. That’s what Solar for All is all about.”
